Donkey Refuge Digital Stamp

First of all I'd like to thank you all for your many sweet comments on my dog bite! It's really nice to know that you care and aren't just here for the freebies only. I always wonder if many people read the blog as well. :) Thank you so much!!

Also, I'd like to welcome all my new followers!  I hope you enjoy this blog and find many things you can use. Please check out my blog header for the user policy on my freebies. Check out "Labels" on the right to find the specific categories you're looking for.

Today I have a little story for you:
While on the phone with my girlfriend, she casually told me about a Donkey Refuge she visited, and how she sponsored a donkey named Penelope for a year. Well, I couldn't get this out of my mind...and the more I thought about it, the more it tickled my funny bone. Who does that? Well, I guess a few people do...but it would never have crossed my mind! So, I made up a Digital Stamp of Penelope.

Meet Penelope:

Isn't she purrrrdyyy? Don't ya just love the "Love Me" Tat on her hindside?  Lol...

And here's where she lives:

This one's actually custom made for Adie and the 'new addition' to her family.

If you'd like your own donkey refuge image, check it out in my Etsy Shop!

Blessings!
Carmen

  2. Oh, she's so sweet....thank you! We actually do sponsor a donkey....his name is Joe, and we did it as a birthday present for one of our grandsons...he gets to visit and feed Joe as often as he likes (grandson is 5) and I would recommend....only £15 for the year!
Please know that I didn't become a follower just for the freebies, although admit that's what got me here....but just love your style!

Anne-Marie, I think that makes a wonderful present...I can imagine he just loves going to feed his donkey! We have a grandson who loves going to the pet store...maybe he'd enjoy this too? I'm so glad you enjoy visiting! :)

  14. Lovely story. It is wonderful knowing that they are loved also. Thank you for the images. Growing up - I called them "Jack-horses". The only thing I could ever figure out was I heard someone say it catching themself before the "Jack___".LOL

  16. This is really adorable! It is a quirky idea to have a donkey refuge, but I think it's great! The little tattoo is a fun finishing touch. Thanks so much for sharing :)
