Time's A Flyin'!

It's my sons' 21st birthday tomorrow! Hard to believe, isn't it? Well...maybe not for you, but it is for me, especially when you consider that he's the youngest of my four boys! Yikes!!

Anyhow, my husband had a birthday last month, and I didn't get a chance to make him a card, so I gave him a store bought one. Well...you'd think I'd committed a crime! I think it went something like this, "I buy her ten thousand dollars worth of scrapbooking stuff, and she gives me a store bought card!" Oops.

I didn't want a repeat of last month so I made sure to set apart some time to make a card.

I used Graphic 45 papers, the Proper Gentlemen line. These papers really are fun to play with. I daren't (is that a word?) make a bow...I knew he would NOT approve....but at least I got a ribbon on there!   I like the way the writing talks about being a manly man. So him! Here's a close up...

I cut out the clock and hung it on the ribbon, and I cut out the car and used pop dots to give it some height. Notice that I clear embossed the background behind the car as well.

I love the saying on the inside. I'll be writing a little something on the bottom panel for him before I give it to him. He's having a bunch of friends over tomorrow night to celebrate. I think hubby and I will go to a movie!  Hope there's a little ice cream cake left! =D

Well, that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed this card.

Have a good weekend!

Carmen

  1. Oh, did I get a laugh. I got into the card making a few years ago {but never became as great as you at it!!} and WHENEVER I didn't make a homemade card...I heard about it!! lol!! Yep, lots of $$$ can go into supplies. It's so easy!

Anyway...I love the card and Happy Birthday to your baby!

    xoxo
