Tuts and Printables...Pin Fever!

This summer is proving to be an extremely hot one! Yesterday temps rose to 37C (that's 106F for my American friends!). We have air conditioning, but we don't have central air. There are bends and levels in my house that the air just doesn't get to.

So what better thing to do than iron? Well, I did it in the coolest room of the house. I've been itching to start sewing again. I have a lot of sewing experience, having made quilts and other projects, and also working for a clothing company for children's clothes called Rainbowear.

My sewing machine broke down on me last time I used it (it was very, very old), so we replaced it with a brand new one which has for the most part just been sitting for the last 6 months. So, it's time!

I found a cute pattern online and am in the process of making something which I will show you soon. In the mean time, I decided to share with you some of the craft tutorials I've been coming across and posting on Pinterest. There's just so much out there! It's amazing!

First, some PRINTABLES I've come across:

From Melissa McLaughlin Design Blog some dragonflies and several other winged things! Please click on the name of the blog to see them all!

At Call Me Victorian, there are some steampunk airships. Awesome! Click on the Blog name to see them all.
Who doesn't love maps, card faces and more? Check out Maybe*mej to see them all.

Next, CRAFT TUTORIALS!

Learn how to make your own texture paste for your mixed media projects at Such a Pretty Mess!
Learn how to make birch trees with ink and a credit card at My Oh My!
Make an incredible card like the one below by learning some inking techniques by Michelle Zindorf at Freedom in Creating.
Learn how to USE YOUR PUNCHES to their fullest extent through these tutorials:

Pixie This with paper medallions and how to punch in the middle of a strip of paper.
UPDATE: Pixie This is no longer online. So try this Martha Stewart video for punching in the middle of a strip of paper.

Martha Stewart's, what size paper to use to go all the way around the edge of your paper using two punches. I have to send you to my Pinterest page because the original post is no longer up!
Well, it's time to get something done up for dinner, so off I go!

I hope you can use some of this info, and remember to check out my Pinterest Boards for more inspiration!

Have a good weekend!
Carmen
