Who Fluffed? Freebie!

Hello!

I'm finally just about done! While some of you have craft rooms that are attractive and pleasing to the eyes...mine is definitely a work room! In fact, I think I'll call it a Studio.

Lol...I wish!

Here's some photos...it's not pretty, but it's functional...and best of all, everything is in one place! Well, almost everything...
These are all my Scrapbooking papers, mini scrapbook papers, envelopes, ribbons, embellishments, tools, etc. Adie sorted my leftover papers by color in that hanging file folder for me. We're putting another shelf above the one in the photo.

This is  the bookshelf I goat a Second Hand Book Store that was closing.
I know...I should have painted it first!

This is my soaping area. There will be another shelf above the one in the photo. The cupboard and fridge are full of soaping supplies.

Here is my work area. The table is in the middle of the room. That works best for me since I can use it for soaping; for scrapbooking & cardmaking; for sewing and all my other crafts.
It's a nice big table!

I didn't take a photo of the closet, but it has more tools and supplies in it for all my projects.

I laid this on the table to show you. My girlfriend Adie (80) picked this up at a garage sale for a dollar! It's for thread...but I'm using it for ribbon!

I think it'll look great and I'll be able to see what I have! Always a plus!

My Craft "Studio" is almost complete!!  At least I can work down there now. :)

Anyhoo........

I know you'd love a freebie....who wouldn't?

I have some free sentiments today...the rest of this post is brought to you by the word...
'FLUFF!'

Who fluffed? Wasn't me!

Teehee

Blessings,
Carmen

  4. Oh my! The organization is outstanding, Carmen--and I love the re-purposing of the low-cost finds!! You have thought through how the room can help you be crafty with all the things that you are crafty--I think that's more important that trying to create an inspirational room. You bring the inspiration TO the room! Congratulations! What freedom to work. Many happy crafty days ahead....

    1. Thanks Sue! That's so sweet!! I also use the clear Costco 'mixed peanut' containers and their clear Cookie flats....they hold ribbon perfectly, and you can see them all! However, I hope to make a more permanent wooden ribbon shelf soon.

    1. Lol...wish mine was too! I moved some things around from spot to spot to take the photos. It is not tidy, especially not when I'm working!!! But thank you for thinking that! ;0)

  11. I am sooo jealous! That is an awesome crafting area - wish I had that much space. I would much rather have a functional spacious crafting area than a pretty one! Love the sentiments. THanks, Suze

  13. Great space. I share mine with my guest room, which is quite large; however, it is shared so has to be kept somewhat tidy. Since I am a little OCD it works for me. :) My guests have the tiniest bit of closet space because I had my husband put shelves in from top to bottom for my supplies. I use a lot of recycled Costco containers as well. My space is for card making and watercolor painting. Wish my "studio" was as large as yours. Have fun and enjoy. Leanne

    1. My guest room closet was like that too! I so relate!! My space is in the basement, but I'm so happy with it. I was constantly moving things back and forth to the kitchen table and it made things look messy.
I wish I could see your watercolors. You should start a blog!

  14. Your craft studio turned out so nice, Carmen. My craft studio is also functional, rather than fancy. You could hang some favorite or pretty things on the walls to make the room uniquely your's or even paint a wall mural. Over time I've added little touches here and there to my studio that have warmed it up, though the furniture and storage are still very basic & functional. Enjoy your new space. :)
