You Did It!!

I recently made a card for my son, who just got his Journeyman papers and national papers as an Electrician. We're so proud of him. He lives up in Ft McMurray, Alberta so we don't get to see a lot of him and his little family. He will be coming to visit soon, and it's a good thing, because this card is too heavy to send!!

It's based on a design I saw on Ingvild Bolme's Blog....she's amazing, go check her out!

Here's the card:
I started out with paper that had a grid on it, and then using Staz-On I stamped it with various stamps.

I also messy inked the edges of the designer paper.

Then I began adding the embellishments.

I mentioned the watch parts in an earlier post. I just love these and wish I had more!

I have quite a variety of clock hands as well. I just attached these to the bottom right corner with embellishment tape, and then stuck a blue crystal in the center hole.

I'm not sure where I got the clear 'Inspire' tag from...I've had it quite a while. The chain also came from the uncle's watch part collection.

Last but not least, the little tools. I bought these at a dollar store and have used them in the past on my Carpenter's Belt Card. Check out the link! (Btw, I fixed that piece of tape on the tool there....jeesh....some cards never behave for their photo ops!) - teehee...

Both metal frames were dollar store finds.

I sure hope my son likes this card. If he puts it up, he'll need a strong nail that'll hold the weight! :)

I have one more card to make asap...then I'm done cards and onto my bookkeeping, etc.
Have a wonderful week!!
Carmen
