Father's Day, Ridgeview Cards and Free Sentiments

It's a bit of a long post today because I'm including several cards.

I'm teaching another card class at the Senior's Home this week, so we've been busy getting things ready. I was going to do a Get Well card, but then I realized that Father's Day was coming up and decided to do both with the same card.

For the Get Well Card, I stuffed a tissue in the pocket:

For the Father's Day type card, I went a bit generic, but I think it works for seniors. Most of them don't have fathers that are still alive and would probably give it to a friend. So I punched hearts for them to stuff in the pockets. As you can see, they're both quite similar, but can be used for different occasions. The original design came from DarleneDesign.com
I used several sentiments for these cards. Some were from Create With TLC, and then I also made up a few sentiments which I'll share below. There are lots of nice sentiments out there, but not exactly what I was looking for.

From Create With TLC I used these sentiments:
"It's Tissue Time," "It's Your Day," and "Wishing You Everything Wonderful."
Check them out to get your own!

I am also going to include the Father's Day cards I put together in this post because it's only a week away. With my card making, it never rains, it pours. This month I've made up 25 cards, and I have 3 more to make.

For these Father's Day cards I used Graphic 45 papers. I love using G45 for my male cards! The first two are two takes on the same card.

The inside:
The second take on this card:
It's very similar, but a bit different. This one I hadn't actually taped down the cover onto the card...it's shifted a bit while photographing, but once I get a chance, it'll all go on straight.

Then I made this third card as well...the outside and inside:
I think they call this a gate fold card. Note that I used a Create With TLC Sentiment on this one!
Well, that's it for today, and probably until the end of the week or the beginning of next week. I'm going to be busy until the end of the weekend....so hopefully it won't be too long before I post again!

Thank you for visiting, and thank you for your comments! They really encourage me!

Enjoy the sentiment freebies!

Blessings,
Carmen
