Vintage Baby Buggy and Clasp

Hello!

Well the weather sure has been strange here lately. Today we had sun, rain, and thunder!? Make up your mind!! Ah well...it turned into a pyjama day...and once in a while, that's alright by me! :)

While relaxing in my PJ's I came across the cutest vintage baby carriage in my old catalogue. I love this baby buggy and wish I could find more for you, but alas, there is only one. :)

Fancy, no? I did manage to remove the writing around it for you:

I'm not sure what those mini wheels were for. Anyone?

I'm throwing in a silver clasp ~ because I have only one of those too. I think it would look nice on a page!

All my vintage graphics are png files and can be used in the same way as a digital stamp.

Well, that's it for now. I'm not sure when I'll be posting another digital stamp, so it's two vintage posts this week.

Blessings!

Vintage Boxes

There's something romantic about vintage pictures of a gentleman on a picnic with a lady friend. They really did it right back then. I think they had a box for everything, this is a vintage "Luncheon Basket."

They even had an "Enroute Teabasket" just incase you were "enroute" and realized it was time for Afternoon Tea! Must've been British...
We mustn't forget the "Dressing Case" and Trunk for those longer trips

Plus, every lady made sure they had one of these:
A Deluxe Hat Box! So cool!

They even had a box for people! GASP!!  Warning...you are now entering the X-rated portion of this blog....

LOL!

Well, I hope you enjoy these!
Have a good day!

Sweet Peas Digital Stamps

My company isn't coming until tonight, so as a result, I was able to get these done and ready for posting. :)

I just love some of the photographic work people do with babies and newborns these days. People have the sweetest ideas when it comes to baby pictures it seems.

Today I'm offering some free Sweet Pea digi's for you.

There's just something I'd like to explain first. I really do make cards (I know some of you must be wondering what happened?). I haven't put any up on the blog in a while, but that's because my focus right now is digi's. I get really focused when I enjoy something. So rest assured,  I know some of you are here for the cards. Please, just be patient with me.

Anyway, here are the digi's

I made two different ones:
Then I put them together on a plant, in case someone is having twins:
I'm thinking of doing a small series of these. I have some other ideas that would be really cute for baby cards. That will be sometime down the road. In the meantime, enjoy these ones!

Sweet Pea Baby Girls

Sweet Pea Baby Boys

Thanks for stopping by and please, rather than share the image, please send people to my blog so they can enjoy any of the digi's I offer. Thanks! :D

Links Using These Images:

Thanks to Valerie from Canonburycreations for sharing her takes on these images for us.

Check out the post A New Arrival on her blog. :)
How cute are these? I just love what she's done with them!! :)

Here's another from Mary Anne over at Lakeside Stamping. Love it!

Helen from "You've Got Purseonality" did up this adorable card for a friend who had twins.

Thank you, ladies, for sharing your talents with us!

Have a great weekend!

Vintage Clock Graphics

I thought I'd share some vintage clocks I found in an old book. In addition to the sign above, I'm giving you 5 different ones today. This first one is actually closed, but I still like it.

These next two are kind of interesting because the numbers start at the left with 12 o'clock facing left.

These should be fun on a page or a card. I'm working on a digital stamp and hope to have it up in the next few days, but I have company coming....so won't make any promises.

Jessica, from Jessica's Craft Shaque made a card using one of my sentiments, and one of these clock images. Check it out, then check out her awesome Blog!!!

If you've made something using any of my images, email me or comment on a post with a link back, and I'll post it below the original images with a link back to your blog! :)

Jessica DeLong from Rejoice the Heart, used one of these vintage clocks in one of her images in a blog post.

She wrote an extremely interesting post that had some very useful information we can ALL use!! Go check her out at the link above! You won't be sorry!

Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by!

How About a Whimsical Cup of Joe?

I was feeling a little whimsical last night, so I drew this cup of joe. One for you right handers, an one for you left handers.

That's about all I have to say. :)

Great is Thy Faithfulness

There's a song that's been going through my head a lot lately. It's an old hymn that I just love. I was pretty much raised on these old hymns, and even though most music I listen to these days is more songs than hymns, the words of the old hymns are just so good!

I thought I'd do some without borders as well in different colors.

Faded Green:

Light Brown

Light Blue

These work great as backgrounds to another image, especially the lighter ones.

I hope you'll enjoy them!

Blessings,

Keystone Cops Freebie

My husband bought an old liquor decanter shaped like a police car with a bunch of Policemen hanging off of it for resale. These are known as Keystone Cops, and that got me thinking. They were a bunch of funny, completely inadequate coppers who never seemed to be able to get their man, even if he was right behind them! When they did find them, they got into all kinds of trouble while chasing them down. Do any of you remember them?

Anyway, that was my inspiration for todays digital stamp.

Here's the bad guy disguised with a lampshade and the Cops looking very confused and completely unaware that their prisoner is right behind them:

Don't you just love that old prison truck with the Goodyear tires?
Just click on the image to get a full size, and then right click and 'save as' if you'd like them. Please check my terms of use at the top of the page, and please leave me a comment if you like my work! It makes my day! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

About Time for a Card

I've been so caught up playing with digital images, that I haven't posted a card in a while. I have a Ridgeview Seniors card class coming up soon, so I thought I'd show you what we'll be doing.

This is a simple card, and it's not my design - I'm not sure whose it is because there are a lot of variations of it. It's a popsicle card!

Here's the inside:
A close up of the glitter. I don't have the right size circle punches, so I cut these all by hand. I tried to cut a true circle, but gosh it's hard!

And they're all ready for Ridgeview:
Well, except for the glitter, ribbon, tape and tools. As you can see, I also did some oranges, limes, apples and strawberries. I didn't have a rubber stamp for these, so I made up my own digital images.

Here's a sheet of them if you'd like to make your own. These are about 1" each if you just print them off.

I'd put a tutorial up, but ChicNScratch has a good one already HERE. It's about 6 minutes to watch.

Thanks for visiting!

Blessings!

Free Word Circle Digi Stamps

I thought it would be fun to make some word circles. These first two are made with a foreign text. One with a border, one without.

The next two are of Psalm 23, one with a border and one without.

Enjoy!

Candy Cart Freebie

Well, I'm glad Blogger is back up and running. I'm still missing a post, so if it shows up twice, it's because I've reposted it, and Blogger has put it back up as well.

Anyway, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! Yahoo!

In Holland, the kids would bring a tin of goodies to class on their birthdays and share it with the class. They would go from desk to desk and let each one take something out of the tin. Some would think it a funny tradition to give on your birthday. It makes perfect sense though. It's much better to give than to receive. Plus, the joy you derive from giving will make your day! All those happy faces! :)

So today I've got something sweet for you, not just because it's my birthday, but just because...scroll down for the freebies! :)

There's some Candy floss, Popcorn, Jelly beans, Gum Drops, Swirly candy sticks, some grab bags and even a couple of cupcakes.

A birthday just isn't complete without some ice cream!

Plus some candy sunshine made of Jawbreakers and Licorice Swirls:

Well, here's the whole Kit N Kaboodle for you. Maybe it'll work as a background.

Well, I'm off to have myself a GREAT birthday!

Here is an AWESOME birthday card by Christi at Christi's Creations using one of these images! Make sure you pay her a visit and check out the rest of her wonderful blog!!

I think it's an absolutely adorable card! Check out the button that looks like a candy. Too, too cute!

I have one from Stef at Glitterbabe's. Another adorable card, and I LOVE the sentiment!! Thanks Stef!

Vintage Panorama Postcards

I have a some word circle digi's and ancient text digi's ready to go, and will probably publish one of them this week besides this post and the mushroom house digis - so check back soon!

Today I wanted to get some postcards up on the blog. These are jpg images so they can be copied if you want to use them in your artwork. On the sidebar under labels, there are some more postcards too!

These are Panorama postcards made in the early 1900's.

This one just makes me smile. I've raised 4 boys, you know. When my kids were in Elementary school, my kids always brought home all their stuff in a big pile of 'who knew what' at the beginning of summer holidays. I always went through them all looking for some gem to keep. It was one of those times that I uncovered some 'notes.' They were written by my son at my teachers insistence, as a punishment.

They read something like this:
"I will not karate chop Melissa with my fingers,"
"I will not make faces behind Mr. Moss's back,"
"I will not pull Katie's hair,"
"I will pay attention when someone else is speaking," aaaand, there were more...

LOL, I'm writing from memory; I really have to pull them out one day and frame them for him. ;)

Believe it or not, he's still mischievous at 28 - and he has more friends than I can count. He's a hard working man, a great daddy and a loving husband in a good marriage! There's always hope Mom's, ALWAYS! LOL!

Anyway, enough reminiscing. Here's another postcard:

The writing is Dutch, and the postcard is dated August 1913. I wonder what the sword and angel are about? The word at the top says "Illustrated weekly newsletter/magazine", the word at the bottom says 'publishing house,' I think.

Last but not least..

This postcard is dated May 1927.

I think these postcards may have been covers of a magazine at one time. I'm not sure. Anyway, I hope you can use them in some way.

Thanks for visiting!

Blessings,
Carmen

Mushroomville, Digi Stamp freebies

I grew up in Holland and have fond memories of their children's stories of dwarves living in mushroom houses in the woods. These dwarves made beautiful little cakes and were friendly little people. That memory was my inspiration for these digital images.

This first image I took out of a larger one I did.

And this is the original image I made. It's meant to work as a background.

A couple of quick sentiments I put together:

Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for visiting!

Your visits and comments always make my day!
