Babies and Snugglies

Hello!

As some of you know, my son and daughter in law just had their second baby, and this time it's a girl! Her name is Lauryn Makenna Gracie. Her second and third name are after her 'Boompa' Kenn, and her 'Grandpa' Graham. She is now just over 2 months old and growing so much!

I've always wanted to make one of those No Sew Blankets, and as luck would have it, our local Fabricland is moving locations and is having 50% - 70% off sales on just about everything!

That made me happy! =D

So, I bought some material and started on my project.

I won't bother showing you the steps because there's tons of tutorials all over the Web.

I had some material left over, so I made a double sided pillow.

I have enough material to make a second pillow if I want to.

Here's the blanket and pillow together.

And here it is showing a bit of the other side of the blanket and pillow.
This was a quick easy project to make. The most work was spent squaring off the fabric and tying the knots. Oh...I guess that's all there really was to the whole project, unless you count stuffing the pillow. =D

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Congrats Grandma! Beautiful name for that baby girl. I love the fabrics you choose and I'm sure she will love snuggling in this and will treasure it forever.
