Craft Time!

I've had quite a bit of company recently. They kept pretty busy, but not too busy to make some crafts. I recently came across a fairly easy looking craft at Laura's "Following the Paper Trail." She calls it a "Sunburst Album." Hers can be viewed on her blog and she has given the instructions to make your own on her Ustream channel. Just click on the links and they'll take you there.Thank you Laura!!

So here are the girls working on their sunburst album:

Heidi, Angela and Hayley cutting the paper strips.

Here Heidi is cutting the tags for inside the album. I think Mandy may be taping her sunburst down.

I somehow missed taking a photo of Hayley's album completed, but you can see the paper she used in the far right corner in the picture above. It turned out so nice too!! I'm so sorry Hayley!!

Above they are working on their front and back covers. Below we have Angela's album cover and sunburst with tags, Heidi's album cover and sunburst with tags, and Mandy's album cover and sunburst with tags.

It's always fun to see what colors and patterns people put together. I think the girls did a wonderful job!

Not only did we do paper crafts during the week, we made cupcakes as well. I was trying to make DC Cupcakes signature swirl--but I'm afraid it didn't work out too well. Luckily Heidi saved the day with some sprinkles. Great job Heidi!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

  2. First, love the blog re-do! It fits you well!

Haven't seen an album like that either. Will go check out her site and explore that a bit. (You can tell the girls were working at your house; that's definitely your signature "bling".)

We just watched DC cupcakes for the first time over the weekend. That signature swirl looks easy, but I guess that finish is harder than it looks! You have enough creative energy in all those heads and hands to make beautiful things; don't let those DC gals get you down!

Enjoyed the visit.... Know you're busy, but it's always great to hear from you!
