Hello there!
I thought I'd try my hand at a homemade hat pin. Where I live, supplies are rather limited, and so I had to make mini hat pins. I thought they'd be nice on cards and 8X8 pages (which I prefer to do). I've seen them in various places on etsy and on several blogs, but if you want to see some really nice ones, check out Angelica's Scrappenings in my sidebar. Beautiful stuff there! You should also check out her etsy shop!
Anyway, here are the ones I made:
They were a lot of fun to make. Now if only I could find the clutches for the bottoms of the pins!
The other day I went to Liquidation World where I found some great deals and ran into some scrapbooking friends. Always fun! We do come out of the woods sometimes! I didn't see my friend the shopping Diva...but I'm pretty sure she was probably there before 9 am, waiting in the line up to get in. Anyway, I came away with a couple of punches, a set of acrylic stamps for $2.88, a gorgeous book (I've used some of the pages as backdrops on the mini hat pin photos), and this bird cage...
Oh how I love this birdcage! I can't wait to play with it and dress it up. It has so much potential!! What I loved even more about this find was the price...$8.88! YES!! If you live in Kamloops and happen to see this post...there was only one more. So GO...fly like the wind!
Liquidation World is not the only place to find a good deal in Kamloops. Here's some 8X8 Cosmo Cricket paper pads I found at one of the dollar stores in town for $1.50 each.
They are nice sturdy papers and so beeea-U-ti-ful! I'm so happy with my finds that I just had to share them!
Hope you enjoyed today's post. I love having you visit!
Your hat pins are beautiful and I just love, love, love that bird cage, what a find!!
