A Storybook Brought to Life

I love to look around the internet for good ideas and once in a while I run into something really, really magical! That was the case when I found this item on Salttree, by Amber. It is just amazing!!

I fell head over heels in love with it and decided right there and then that I had to make one.

My process was a little different than Amber's was because I hate working with Snow Tex and opted not to use it. I really, really like her bench but couldn't find one quite that awesome. I did find some fun things to use.

The trees in mine look the same as Amber's in real life. The lighting is just horrible in my place and extra lighting seems to make the photos appear washed out. I guess I should start taking my photos outside. Shiver, shiver.....

I didn't cut out my book quite as deep but did run the inside page through a printer, as Amber did.

I really enjoyed making this Magical Winter Scene and hope to make more by next Christmas as gifts.

If you'd like to know how I made mine I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. However, there is a tutorial on Amber's Blog and I suggest you check it out at SALTTREE.

In the meantime,
Have a very Merry Christmas!

Blessings
Carmen
