Some Fun News!

Today is the day I'm going to reveal a little secret. :)

For a few years now I have been making up digital stamps and offering them on this blog. It's something I enjoy and like doing.

Recently I received an email from a company asking if I would like to be one of their digital artists! The invitation was to both myself and my husband, who has also makes up some of the digi's on this blog.


After a few emails back and forth, I am happy to announce that there is an agreement in place and we are now digital artists for Squigglefly! 

Yay for us!! :)

I will still offer freebies and digi's here on the blog, but in addition some of my digi's will also be sold on the Squigglefly site.

So that's my news!

I've been thinking about changing my blog as I find the background old and tiring. I am wondering if changing over to one of the Blogger templates would work well for this kind of blog. Has anyone else out there done that and has it worked well for you?

I don't want to go to Wordpress because I don't have time for yet another learning curve. I have too much on the go at the moment and don't believe I can fit it in.

Any suggestions would be appreciated and looked at!

    Congrats!!!! I see you are a fellow Canadian!!! Woohoo!!! I live on the other side of Canada, in Newfoundland!!!
    As for changing the background, I have only ever gone from the Blogger templates to other templates, not the other way around so I can't help you there.

    Congratulations, Carmen! That's a wonderful accomplishment for you (and your hubby, too!). I hope you have lots of success over there, and learn some things in the process.

    Hard to comment on the Blogger templates. They work, and I'm glad they have that "designer" feature, so you can play with a template once it's up there. This has always had a very homey look to it. But, if you want to kick up your template, I'm sure you can find something that will allow you to highlight your designs even more. See what you like about other blog sites and webpages, then bring those characteristics into your template design. I'm sure you'll find something that works!

    Many congratulations Carmen to both you and your husband. I use Blogger templates and have no problem with them. They do offer the chance to change everything to fonts, colours, headings etc etc. Hope it goes well.

    Wow! Serious congratulations to you and your hubby. That is wonderful news.

    As far as Blogger goes, in addition to the existing templates there are also a lot of other free ones available on line for switching things up and as one of your commenters wrote, you have the option of playing around and seeing what the changes will look like before committing to them.       Not quite yet, Krista. The agreement is signed and they're going to use some of my existing images, plus I'll be making up new ones that'll show up in October. I'm not sure when they'll show up, but it's in the works! =)

    They also have video's on how to create your own but I find they have so many cute one's I'd rather take the easy route. Hope it helps.
