Just Playing Around a Bit

Hi there,

I can't believe the new year is almost here already! Along with celebrating Christmas, we had some Birthdays and Anniversaries too in December..January brings a bunch more birthdays...so I'll be busy making cards. I did get a chance to play with some other things in between time.

I made some small fascinators for the hair. What do you think of them?



I also made some jersey bracelets for fun.
While I was making the fascinators, I couldn't help but notice some of the unique buttons I've collected or been given over the years. Here's a small sampling. 
That big button in the middle is off my mother's coat from way back. It's a wooden button from the 60's. I have two of them and will probably never use them. They remind me of my Mom...maybe I should incorporate them into a photo or something. I love those flowery looking buttons, and that leather one too...they're all kind of different!

Well, onto some babysitting grandkids, and then some cards!

    Really like the green one!
    My mom has a button collection too. She was given a bunch form my grandmother (who was a seamstress) They are neat to look at and hold great sentimental value to her too :)
