Flying Owl and card

Hello!

It's actually nice here today, except for the cold-ish wind - but that can be refreshing! I took a walk in the park yesterday with my husband Graham, who has been off work now for almost 6 months. He is slowly recuperating from a back injury. I'm happy to report that we can live together most of the day and night without incident. Good thing there's more than one room to this house! :)

When he saw some of my digital stamps he wanted to learn, since right now he has nothing but time on his hands. So together we've been figuring things out!! I really like his take on digital stamps and thought I would show you his flying owl today. If you like it, grab it.

He also did this sketch of him holding his new granddaughter, Lauryn. It's such a good likeness. Yes, her lips really are that big! I decided to make a really simple card of it to show off the sketch. It's going to be sent to his parents. Have a look.

This was so much fun to do, we're thinking of offering to do simple sketched digital stamps of people, for a fee, that would be dependent on things like difficulty, how many people, etc. Probably about  $20. It would be so cool to be able to put that on a card or scrapbook page for someone special! Email me if you're interested.

Thanks for stopping by. :)

I hope you enjoy Graham's flying owl!

Blessings!

Carmen

  10. Beautiful picture of the flying owl, thank you for sharing and thanks to Graham for drawing.

Sorry to hear about his back, I know from my own hubby having back problems a few years back that it can be really bad. Perhaps, as Blimey above says, this could lead to a whole new career, not just digital stamps but pictures for new born parents with their little ones for gran-parents, aunts, uncles etc. A very beautiful and unique gift.

  12. The flying owl is wonderful. It must be fun getting your husband involved with the digital world. My husband goes as far as waiting in the JoAnn's parking lot and mailing the many cards I send. The image of your husband and grandchild is precious. I have recently seen another designer lately that was doing these and I think it is a fabulous idea. Thank you!
