Carpenter's Belt Card

Hi!

I was recently asked to make a card for a maintenance worker. I decided a carpenter's belt would be appropriate, and found some inspiration for that on Mel Stampz. I used the template they provided and adjusted it for a card. This would be great for a masculine birthday or Father's Day card. So without further adieu...here's the card.

I took a brown piece of cardstock and made it look leathery.

I got the little tools at the local dollar store. The tape measure is actually from a 12 X 12 piece of paper with tape measures all over it. I just cut off one and folded it several times. I inked almost everything...as usual.

I love the little hammer! Note the faux stitching as well.

I'm hoping my Dad doesn't look at my blog. It's his birthday on Tuesday and because he's a bit of a handyman, I just had to make one for him too. Shhhh!!

While I'm at it, I may as well show you the inside too...

That's it for today. Thank you for visiting!

I hope you enjoyed!

  2. "I took a piece of brown card stock and made it look leathery." As far as I'm concerned, that's what totally makes this card. And I don't know what "made it look leathery" means, but I suspect that meant an awful lot of work. It's fantastic!
