Free Vintage Graphics

Hey there!

It's been a while since I've posted any vintage graphics, so that's my focus today. I'm actually going through my images and finding ones I prepared but never posted...so it'll be a bit of a hodge podge...

Brace yourselves...
Some old boxing gloves...great for a masculine card!

This is the Picadilly Circus Building...see, told ya...it's a mixture.

An old soap ad...ya, I didn't invent soap (teehee).

Oil and Vinegar bottles

....and this guy!
There are some more in my collection, and lots more that I still have to take pictures of, but this is it for now.

Enjoy!

Oh, and...
The thing that has been--it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun. Eccl. 1:9

Free Vintage Lamps

Hello!

Thought I'd pop in and give you some Vintage Lamps today. I am also getting some more postage stamps ready. I'm surprised there's interest in these! I will be posting some Teddy Bears and some houses in the next day or so.

Anyway, here's the lamps!
I did the best I could with this next one. I really like it, but it's very broken up!
While I was away on holidays last week, Olga from Elephant Fairies gave me the Versatile Blogger Award. Thank you so much Olga, for thinking of me. I'm glad you enjoy my blog!
When accepting the award, it is requested that I tell you 7 things about myself.  So here goes:

1) I was born in Holland, but don't look Dutch at all. (blond hair, blue eyes?)
2) I've been kidnapped twice in my life. Once by friends, once by strangers.
3) I have a strong belief in God. No one can shake that belief because of something miraculous I experienced. I know God exists.
4) I raised 4 sons and am a grandmother of 5, even though I still look 29. Yes, I'm in denial, but I like it there. :0)
5) I love to do almost any kind of craft. I am a pretty good seamstress but hate doing alterations and repairs. I also LOVE making soap!
6) I can't rest until my house is tidy and I like to be organized.
7) I love to bake. Dutch Apple Cake is one of my specialties.

I'm also supposed to give this award to 15 people. Although I don't mind participating in these myself, I really don't like to pass them on when there are so many requirements. I know not everyone likes to receive these. So if you want to participate, consider yourselves nominated! Let me know so I can read your 7 things!

I hope you're all having a good weekend! It's very nice out today in Kamloops, BC. The sun is shining and the sky is blue! I sure hope all this winter weather will soon be done with.

What's the weather like in your corner of the Web?

Blessings!

Free Vintage Images

Hello!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I'm doing some catch up all over the place. Yesterday I went through some kitchen cupboards and purged out a bunch of stuff. Plus I put new liners down. Things look so much fresher! I recently saw a post about Lent suggesting you take one garbage bag a day for 40 days and purge, purge, purge! I'm doing a slightly downsized version of that and getting some things straightened out around here! We've lived here since 1992...so, well, you know!!

Anyway, enough chit chat. Here's some free vintage images for you!
Here's the original image as well
In keeping with a Toy Theme, I have a Toy Motor!
Add caption
I'm going to include the original as well, even though the writing is a bit skewed.
It's 3" high y'all! What a hoot!! Too cute!

That's what I have for you today. Enjoy!

Please check out my post on Google Friend Connect (the way you probably follow me), because it may affect YOU!

Also, please check out my new Page (at the top of the page) called Coming Soon!

Have a good weekend!

Interesting Postage Stamps

Hello!

I've been looking through my picture files and came across some postage stamps that I forgot about. I thought I'd share a few today. I'm not sure all of these are technically vintage, but they'd make cute additions to a card or page. In any case, we'll see if you any of you like them or not. Let's call it a trial! :)

Alice's Adventure in Wonderland.

I know some show the cancelled stamp, but I still think they're interesting as an embellishment!

Some old wooden toys...

Some more masculine ones...
I have a couple from the 2nd World War too. Email me if you want them.
Let me know if you think you could use these!

Have a good week!

Ridgeview Card and Some Free Vintage

Hello,

I have a Ridgeview Card Class coming up, and they wanted something to go along with their western theme for the week. I saw a card I liked at Inspired and Unscripted, so used that as my inspiration. Here is the card we'll be making.

Unfortunately, I used a hemp fiber to tie on the card, and it ripped the card a bit, but I have some softer fiber in the same color I can use.  I don't have any nestabilities, so I used my Lynx cutter to frame the buckin' bronco...but I didn't want to bother with the fussiness of lining it all up. So I used the light box my son bought me a while back. I've used it a few times already and love it!

See, works great!
Here's the inside of the card:
And here are the rest of the cards prepped and ready for them to put together. I made up about 5 different styles, so that's what I'm showing in the first picture.
There's about 15 cards altogether.

For the buckin' bronco image, I just googled 'buckin bronco' and this was one of the images that came up. I couln't find a copyright, so can't tell you who initially made it. The designer papers were random papers I've had a while. The hat stamp is actually the Sheriff Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm. I just masked it, stamped it, and cut it out.

I usually do some inking on the sides; in the card above I used white staz on ink. Some will be distressed with a darker ink. The star is a brad from a package I've had in my stash for a while.

They can choose whatever sentiment stamp I have for the inside of the card. I hope the ladies enjoy putting these together!

It's been a while since I posted some vintage graphics for you vintage buffs.  I love this little vintage Ad for Jam.

I also have some chairs for you today...not sure what you can do with them, but they're yours if you want them....
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Carmen

Freebie Steampunk Vintage Graphics

Hello, hello!

Well, my busy weekend has come to a standstill (well, other than washing up sheets, etc)...so I'm back. I have a couple of odd images today, and I hope to post a Digital Stamp soon. There's rain forecast, so I'll probably work on something then!

Here's the first of two random images I thought were interesting and would be great used as steampunk style images as Christie suggested below!

And, here's some leg action for you...

Here's a couple of random images, while I'm on odd images
This one is a 'Blow Accordion'...ya, not sure what that means...I'm thinking it's an early harmonica.
As you can see, according to the picture, this one is a ...Graphophone - apparently an improvement on a Phonograph.

This one I just don't know where to fit in, so here it is...
This one will make you sweat!

Enjoy! I'll be back soon!

Blessings,
Carmen

Seed Packet Freebies

Hi there!

I've had company the past few days, but managed to get a few more vintage images done up. Today I have some seed packets for you:

I thought these Petunia's would be nice by themselves as well...so I separated them from the seed packet.

To be honest, I'm not even sure how I got this one to go black...but I like it, so it's yours if you want it.
Well, that's it for today. Hope you can use these for some of your projects. Please send me a link if you use any of my images in your crafts, and I will post a link back to you!

*If you use any of my images, I'd love to see them!!

CG from CG Says Something Loudly, made this really adorable card. She calls it a Notch Swing Card. On the inside is my little seed packet which she colored and put on a little handmade envelope. I love what she's done here. There's a tutorial on printing on acetate as well. Check it out!

Thanks for visiting!

And my favorite of the three:

Not sure why this one is so long...but it looks kind of cool!

I'm so glad we have digital cameras! Aren't you?

Here's a cute card using one of these vintage images by Mandy, from Made by Mandy. I loved the story behind the making of this card as well. Go have a look!
Have a good day everyone,
Blessings,
