Well, it's been a bit of a busy weekend! We had our grandson overnight on Friday night, and my parents visited for the weekend. There's nothing like a little guy running around to remind you that life is full of discovery, joy, and movement. Lots and lots of movement!! LOL! In the morning my husband made a fire, and Kai sat in front of it and called to me --"Gramma...sit!" As he patted the ground beside him. I happily obliged. :)
Anyway, Kai's gone home and so have my parents, which gave me an opportunity to finish a card I started at the end of last week.
I wanted to make a generic card, and it's not my usual style.
I used a paper pad by DCWV that I picked up quite a few months back, but have never used.
I found this unusually shaped button in my stash (the middle one). The tape measure paper is from Cosmo Cricket's 'Measuring Up.'
Here's a close up of the dress form. I got this from Cheryl Ann First Expressions, transferred it to SCAL and cut it with my Cricut. If you'd like one, click on: 'Dress Form'
The dress is just a ribbon that I ruffled with a thread and needle, and then attached with embellishment tape and a ribbon. I took some black ink and rubbed it on the legs of the dress form.
This one came together rather easily! BTW, the sentiment is from Hero Arts....

Well, that's it for today. Thanks for visiting!
