There's a little place in Kamloops called the Victorian Teahouse. It's a very lofty name, considering it is an old house that used to be a funeral home...but it is just the cutest, most elegant little teahouse you've ever seen. If anything, the building adds to the flair of the decor. My best friends and I love to go and have tea, lunch, or if we're in a particularly classy mood, High Tea. Oh yes, lift those pinkies! The food is wonderful, affordable, and the decor is tastefully done, and of course, very Victorian.
This photo was taken in 2009, and we were treating Adie to a birthday lunch.
I played around with the paper a bit. I was thinking about those rag quilts and decided to try a rag edge. It's a bit 3D and kind of busy, but I still like it.
It seems everything I do involves Tim Holtz in some way. Here I've used the birdcage, the bird, and the flower stamp.
Well, that's it. I'm working on a video for the tri-fold card and hoping to get it done soon. Thanks for visiting! I adore your comments!!
I am continually amazed by each piece of art you create! So beautiful! I can't imagine what an entire photo album must cost you to put together.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to recognize the "Carmen look." I do love the care you took with the placement of the flowers. Just lovely colors, too.
