Going To The Opera

Hello!

In the last post I promised you a masculine card soon. I've just finished it in time for my Dad's birthday. He's turning 77 today! One of his favorite things is to go to the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and he loves the Opera - so those are the themes I decided to combine for his card.

I tried to cut freehand the theatre curtains at the top of the card. Not perfect, but you really can't tell.

The brads on each side of the curtain were dollar store purchases.

The note is a Cricut cut. I added some glitter to it, and a pop dot to make it stand out a bit. Note the little metal book on the conductors stand. Another Dollar Store find!

I actually love this metal ribbon. My girlfriend found it and gave me a piece. You wouldn't believe how much of it I've used. I'm just about out of it! :(

Here's the inside. I just love the piano keys. I got them out of one of my own music books. Same with the staff near the top. The instruments were Scal and Cricut cuts from Clips N Cuts. The links are below.

Here's the front of the card again, and the list of materials I used

Materials Used:

Graphic45 - A Proper Gentleman paper pack
Seven Gypsies - 6x6 Angelo Variety Pack (inside)
Cardstock
Black card base with envelope
Inkadinkado - Birthday Cupcake Stamps (Sweet Birthday Wishes - I cut it)
Hero Arts - Everyday Sayings Stamps (Just a Note)
Rubons - for the "77" inside
*The Graphics Fairy* - Opera Graphics and Conductor Graphic
(here's a link to their search page.  The graphics I used were under the Music icon)
Clips N Cuts - Musical SVG Set
(All her free files can be found under Digital Wednesdays - Digital Templates)

I also used:
Black ink, embellishment tape, pop dots, glue pen, double sided tape, glitter.

Well that's it for today.
I hope you're all having a lovely week!

Thank you for visiting and see you next time!

Carmen
