How to make Acetate Butterflies plus Butterfly Images Link

Good morning,

Hope you're all having a good day! If not, hopefully this post will make it better.

I love to make my own acetate butterflies and use them on my projects. I thought I'd share that process today.

Here's a sample of a couple of them:
I added stickles and some rhinestones to the one above.
This one just had some rhinestones added.

These are incredibly simple to make. Here's what you need:

Craft Plastic (I buy the Recollections pad from Michael's).
A printer
Butterfly photos
Scissors
Embellishments (stickles, rhinestones)

That's it!

All I do is insert the picture of the butterflies in Word and adjust them to the size I want.

I put a piece of the craft plastic in the printer tray, and click 'print' in Word.

Then I wait a while for the print to dry on the craft plastic. I wait maybe a couple to 5 minutes.

Then I cut them out and decorate them. Oh, and I usually bend them a bit to make them look more realistic.

Here's a Swirlydoos page by Lisa Gregario with TONS of butterflies on it in every color imaginable!

I don't know about you...but I feel better! :)
Enjoy!

Blessings, Carmen
