I know...you didn't know I was gone, but I was. We were visiting my son in Fort McMurray, Alberta - which is about a 15 hour trip by car. I'd say altogether we've covered about 3,000 km. in the past week and a half. It was so worth it though!
We made quite a few stops on the way; one was in Drumheller. It's the place where they found a variety of amazing dinosaur bones in layers of the ground, which they've put back together and displayed. Many were still in the matrix they were found in. The museum there was phenomenal and I took some awesome photos!
Anyway, I'm happy to be home, but wish my son and his family lived next door. I'm going to miss them all terribly!
A few posts back I mentioned that I'd like to start doing some digi's that were associated with different countries. I did an old phone booth (I'll call it British), and today I'm adding wooden shoes for Holland.
Filled with tulips!
I just like polka dots...in fact, they kind of look like cheese...also a product of Holland!
One is the Friesian flag...the hearts are red on white with blue stripes between. I'm from The Hague, but Friesians are also Dutch...just a different area.
Now that I'm back, I have to get soaping! I also have the Ridgeview Card for this month to make up, and I have two anniversaries coming up....I know they're expecting home made cards. Better get busy!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Carmen
Carmen, these are great images. My husband is Dutch and we have a son and family living there, so this is such a bonus. Thanks so much for being so generous.

DeleteThank you for de wooden shoes digi.

Thanks for the great digis! I've never been to Fort Mac, but I have a cousin whose lived there a long time. And Tyrell is a fantastic museum, isn't it!? We took our kids there last summer...every time I go, that museum gets better and better. Glad you had a good trip, and welcome back! :)
ReplyDeleteThe museum was incredible! Hard to believe what I was looking at. So glad they're not around now! Lol...Fort McMurray is such a very busy place. Such a variety of peoples up there too.
DeleteHallo Carmen,
DeleteThese clogs are lovely. Thank you so much. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for these! They will be perfect for cards to all my family outside the Netherlands. Dank je wel!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the digi stamps. I lived two years in The Netherlands and loved every minute of it. I will certainly use this digi. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThese drawings are so cute. These should be very pretty colored and put on cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing them.
Carmen, thanks so much for these images. They are perfect for spring.
ReplyDeleteDank U wel vanuit Holland
ReplyDeleteTHank you for these. They are absolutely awesome. I have Dutch ancestry (way back but I still feel a connection to it). My maiden name was Dutch so feel connected to my Dutch side. Originally from Tiel and Groenlo areas. I am automatically attracted to images of tulips but these have the added bonus of the clogs. Love, love, love them. Thanks heaps, Suze.
ReplyDeleteYou're so welcome! I love my Dutch family...and with FB, I am reconnecting with them all. I was 6 when we immigrated and have only been back once in 2006. I really enjoyed it!
DeleteHallo Carmen,
Groetjes Yolanda
