A "Le Romantique" Anniversary Card

Hello!

It seems like I haven't posted a lot of cards lately, so I thought I'd show you one I made the other day. This one was made with Graphic 45 papers from their Le Romantique line. I love pretty much all of their papers!

My husbands Aunt and Uncle are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and I just happened to catch wind of it - so I made them a card.

Yes, that's my finger at the bottom of the card...it wants to flip up a bit. :) It's actually quite a glittery card with the stickles I used, but it's hard to get that to show in a photo.

This is the first inside. This turned out to be what I've coined a "Triple Layer Card" - it wasn't intentional, but I liked it and decided to keep it that way. The feather is just my quirkiness, but you could put a greeting there, or a photo, gift card, etc.

Here is the inside of the card. I really like the G45 papers and didn't want to cover them up, so I made a partial mat. I scored it at the top and attached it there so that they could look underneath it. Those old ads are so cool, don't you agree?

There's the front again, without the finger - only because I cropped it out. ;)

Note the craft plastic (acrylic) at the bottom of the card. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug. I love that look on Craft Plastic, and I love using acrylic for my cards. It's probably more noticeable in the photo above this one actually...

Thanks for visiting! Here's a list of supplies:

Graphic 45 Le Romantique papers
Clear Craft Plastic
Martha Stewart Edge punch
Ribbon and random feather ;)
Star Dust Stickles
Mulberry paper Mini Roses
Ink for distressing the edges
Double sided tape
Embellishment tape
Cuttlebug and folder (Victoria)

Blessings,
Carmen

  2. I love your blog, but I can't seem to find a way to get new posts sent to my email inbox. Am I missing it or would you consider adding one? I'm on blogspot, too and I think you just have to click an option to add that option for your fans. :) Pleeeeease?
