Free Background Ancient Text Digital Stamps

Happy Saturday

I am in the middle of pie baking and salad making for our Easter Dinner with Turkey. I love Turkey!  Still, it's been a few days since I posted, and I wanted to take a minute to show you some more ancient texts.  Both of these come out of an old 100 year old Bible.

These can be used the same way as digital stamps. You should be able to resize them to fit the measurements you want.

1) This one is ancient Greek Tex. I have it in black and brown for you.

2) Gothic Text from the 6th Century. Apparently the original copy was written in silver and gold on a purple vellum. I didn't know they had anything that resembled vellum back then!

Here I have one in black and one in grey.

Hope you'll be able to use these in your backgrounds. I have jpeg's of the original images with the paper backgrounds. If you'd like them, just leave me a comment requesting them, with your email and I'll send them to you.

Turkey and Ham are pretty traditional meats for Easter here in the west, but I know that in Holland, many eat Salmon. So, I'm curious, what do you make for Easter Dinner at your house? :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a good day!

Blessings,
Carmen

I live in The Netherlands and we are having gourmet, with all sorts of different meat. Some French bread, sauce, canned fruit(out of the can ofcourse) and whine. Getting hungry already *smile*!

  2. These are wonderful! Thank you so much. During the Lenten season here in the Philippines, we do penance by abstaining from eating meat of any kind from Palm Sunday to Black Saturday, but on Easter Sunday, that's when we could eat meat like steak and pork roast. Happy Easter to you and your family!

  9. Thanks very much!
Here in South Africa pickled fish is quite traditional in some communities.
My family doesn't have any specific traditional food. We had a barbecue (braai) on Saturday night.
I started my own tradition, I eat only hot cross buns on the Easter weekend, no other bread. I love them. I have them as is or with cheese. I also had some herring, another personal favourite. (I'm on my own, so I eat what I feel like :)

  12. We usually have ham but this year we had it the weekend before and so for Easter, we had turkey, also! We smoked it on our Weber and had enough for dinners all week.

Thanks for the great and very unusual images.
