*Cheap* Storage Idea

Hello!

There's some great ideas on the Web for storage solutions when it comes to Scrapbooking. It would be wonderful if I had a scrapbook room to store all my stuff in, and maybe someday soon I will, but that is not my reality right now. So when it comes to storage, I have to be rather creative!

There's really no point in buying any storage furniture at the moment, and boxes take up a lot of space and things usually get tangled....especially when it comes to ribbon!

So, I was thrilled when my husband brought home these:

What do Shortbread Cookies have to do with Scrapbooking, you may rightfully ask?

Well, nothing actually.

It's the plastic container they come in!

Once some of the cookies were gone, I looked at the bottom of the container and realized it was a perfect storage container for my ribbon, AND, I'd be recycling. Always a good thing!

I took some of my ribbon to see if it was the right size.

Looks good to me! :)

AND, the container closes!!

AND, you can see the ribbon through the box and grab the right one without having to go through them all.

AND, you can stack them if you get more!

I don't know about you, but this is perfect for me! Seriously!

Now to buy more cookies.

Or, if I'm brave, maybe I'll ask the nice bakers at Costco, if they would sell me a few of these containers unused....I'll bet they'll just give me some.

Now to remove their sticky label, and make a nice label for the front. =D

Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend!!

Carmen

  1. Is this called 'thinking outside of the box?'...or inside rather!! Good going, Carmen!
