Mother's Day Cards

I've been making some cards recently and thought you might like to see them. I'm sending them off today and hoping their recipients are NOT faithfully checking my blog. LOL!

Here's the first one I made. Note the little teabag tag coming out of the cup.

A close up. The 'Mother' was done with gold embossing powder, and I used some metallic finish on these cards. The background was done using the swiss dots cuttlebug folder, and then it was lightly dusted with some ink on a sponge. Later I added a bit of metallic rub. Not sure if I like it on this one all that much...but it is what it is.

Here's the inside pocket. The teabag in it still has the tag attached to it, which comes around to the front and outside of the cup. Cute, eh?

Here's the second card:

Hmmm...not sure what that white paper bit is in the cup handle...it must've wanted in on the photo shoot. Ha!

On this one I used a different cuttlebug folder, and I also used the metallic rub. This one needed the metallic on it because it looked plain without it. The templates I used on this one came from the same set as the first.

Here is the inside of this one...sorry that it's a bit blurry.

If you'd like to make your own, I used the digital free sets from Clips N Cuts. She has some wonderful free digital templates you can print off your computer. The instructions for a similar card are on her blog and on Youtube. Many thanks to Vicky for her template and card idea! :)

Well, that's it for now. Hope you enjoyed it!

I have one more card and I still plan on making some more princess blooms and will hopefully get them up in the next few days too.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!
