Getting Things Organized in my Craft Space.

Hello!

I have been organizing my craft space the last few months. It began when we moved our office out and freed up some space in our home. :)  I no longer have to go to the basement to craft.

YAY ! !

I bought a beautiful cabinet at Ikea....here's one of my DIL's and my youngest son putting it together.

I actually have a whole new respect for my daughter in law who put most of this together while the rest of us 'helped'. Lol--apparently she can get cars running too--with whatever she has in her pocket. A female MacGyver I tell you!

She squeezed in behind these drawers to get them to fit properly. I'm still not sure how she did that. Skinny little thing!

I now have a large cabinet with nice deep shelves and a single matching cabinet that fits beside it with shelves and drawers. The best thing is that the doors close. (Just have to put the handles on yet).

I have soap, scrapbooking, crocheting, clay, jewelry supplies and more in there. It feels so good to get things organized.

As you can see, I still have work to do, but now  I have a nice room to do my crafting and I'm starting to get some other things straightened out too.

I've had a box full of cards sitting around on my desk taking up space. It was filled with unfinished cards mixed in with handmade cards I made, handmade cards I received (I never throw them away) and then some things I keep for card ideas. It was time to sort it all!

So where do you keep those precious handmade cards you've received? I had a 6x6 album that I put most of them in. I'm all about quick, easy and no nonsense...and this works just fine for me.

The only problem was that some of the cards were bigger than 6x6. So I pulled out an album I've had forever and never used and placed them there.

This was a card I gave to my husband. I don't throw those out either. No way! Not after all that work.  ;)

The albums are nicely tucked away in my cabinet, and that is one less thing to organize!

Have a good day!
Blessings!
Carmen

    1. I was so happy they helped because I'm not so good with that type of thing. Those special handmade cards people gave me work out so well in the albums. Now I can look at them and feel loved! Thanks for the comment!

  2. Fabulous Carmen! I LOVE your cabinet, esp with door to hide everything. Thanks for the tip on the albums....I tried page protectors, but they sag with the handmade cards being so heavy. Your room looks beautiful....what a lovely, serene, space to let your creativeness flow.....Maureen xx

    1. Hi Maureen! Thanks for visiting my little blog. I really like things behind doors as well, especially in an area everyone passes through. The cabinet shelves are deep and have lots of room. I'm so happy with it. Thanks for the comment, my friend! :)

  3. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog! I should post a couple cards I've made, so my blog won't be so blah! lol... Our kitty has been doing better with the heart meds they have her on, so that is good news. I understand about the allergies; I have family that are allergic and they get bad reactions whenever they're in contact with them.

    1. Some cards would be nice, just because I love to see what people make. Great news about your kitty! Yes, my husband likes animals, but has to be careful with them. :)
